🚨 Harry Kane: “I'm sure Real Madrid are angry about the red card, but they got many things go their way over the years, so...”.

@utdreport He answered his own question with "You can give him a two year contract and if he's useless he can part with the club". That kind of short term thinking is not acceptable because he's had a good reaction from a squad that can turn on the manager if they have to train in the dark.

Michael Owen on #mufc potentially deciding not to continue with Michael Carrick at the end of the season:
“Imagine if you got rid of Michael Carrick, just imagine it, and you brought in whoever – I don't care who it is, even a born winner, somebody they've already had, that type of manager.
Imagine if things started spiralling, started going poorly again; the ownership would get absolutely lynched.
I'm astounded by certain people saying no, they shouldn't appoint him. Astounded. Why on earth is this even a question? I don't get it.
I'm not saying, “go and give him a 10-year contract, everything's perfect”. But bloody hell, what more can he do? You've just got to let this roll. This Manchester United team look like they're on the way back at this stage. Why would you interfere with anything?
How on earth can anybody say that he shouldn't continue. What's the worst that can happen? You give him a two-year contract. He starts the next season, for the first three or four months he loses every game and he's useless. He can part company with the club
If the league started when Carrick took over, Manchester United would be top of the league. We're talking at this stage now, we'd be a third of the way through the season and Man United at the top of the league. You'd be thinking, well, can they win the league?” [@ChrisWheelerDM]

@Investorike @markgoldbridge Oh please tell me how you came to that conclusion by me talking about Sesko... This is gonna be fun to read
English

@markgoldbridge "It's gonna be a great night... I have a good feeling"
And then he woke up to reality.

@AlbicelesteTalk What a bunch of fuckers. Saying no to Argentina because they didn't get their way by playing it in Madrid but then saying yes to Egypt. Real class-acts.
English

@AlbicelesteTalk Can't they do last minute friendlies with Uruguay, USA, Brazil or some other European national team? Even as a closed game for preparation. Must be some opportunities out there... As long as the players get game time together a few months out from the World Cup.

❗️Leo Messi feels disappointed after the cancellation of the Finalissima match, as he considered the game an important competitive opportunity, according to a source who confirmed this to ESPN.
Messi had been looking forward to playing the match with an ambitious mindset, viewing it as a serious final before the World Cup, and he was not involved at all in the discussions that led to the cancellation of the meeting. @lizzy_becherano 🏆

@AlbicelesteTalk Argentina and Conmebol stood firm! Spain can do one thinking they had power to force the Champions to play on enemy turf in a neutral final. Big shame but the disgrace falls on the shoulders of Spain and UEFA!
English

@maik1812222 @AlbicelesteTalk @GustavoYarroch You don't have a good understanding of what neutral ground mean in this case. Neutral doesn't mean it has to be played in Asia, Africa, Oceania or North America. It means that the game can't be played in Argentina or Spain because that would mean home advantage. Rome is neutral.
English

@Kevin21628092 @AlbicelesteTalk @GustavoYarroch It is a uefa vs conmebol champion game. Should technically be in a different association, but Argentina already played Italy at Wembley so it clearly doesn’t bother them.
It is just the thing though.. always Europe.
English

🚨 JUST IN: The negotiation between UEFA and CONMEBOL over the Finalissima is not going anywhere. Spain insists on wanting to play it in Madrid, while Argentina wants it in a neutral venue. There is a serious risk of it being canceled. @GustavoYarroch ⚠️⚠️
English

@maik1812222 @AlbicelesteTalk @GustavoYarroch It is neutral ground because as per 2026 Rome is not located in Argentina or Spain.
English

@Kevin21628092 @AlbicelesteTalk @GustavoYarroch Rome is technically not neutral since it is uefa, but im sure argentina would accept it anyway
English

@AlbicelesteTalk @ignacio_marcano If Spain are so reluctant to a neutral venue they've lost all understanding of what a final is. They don't hold power in this, AFA and Conmebol are well within their rights to object to a final being played on Spanish turf. Play it at Mâs Monumental. Argentina are the holders.
English

🚨 Options for CONMEBOL and UEFA:
- Change the Finalissima to a two-legged tie (home and away)
- Choose a neutral venue.
- Cancel the match.
🤝 The decision will be made tomorrow during the final phase of negotiations. @ignacio_marcano 🏆
