Then store manager Robert Gawlitza clocks in the next morning and discovers one of those unclaimed tickets hit for $12.8 million. He didn't just grab it. He clocked out, changed out of uniform, and bought them as a customer, even has texts showing his district manager approved the process. Circle K still fired him. Then sued to seize the ticket. Their argument? They paid for every ticket printed, so they "own" the unclaimed ones. And employees shouldn't profit from "insider knowledge." Now it's getting messier. A second employee, Marlene Ibarra, stepped in claiming she deserves a cut too. Meanwhile, the winning ticket sits at corporate headquarters collecting dust while a judge delays the ruling. Let's call it what it is: corporate greed. They didn't care about those tickets until they were worth millions.
