Since 2004, Chippie served with unwavering dedication as manager of the Stormers, guiding and supporting players and colleagues with humility and commitment. On behalf of the SA Rugby family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Pearl, Nina, Chad, his other loved ones and the Stormers community. Let’s be honest for a moment… there is no successful government that can be formed in South Africa by excluding white people, just like you cannot build one by excluding Black people, Coloured people, or Indians.
This country was built through struggle, sacrifice, and ultimately unity.
The idea was never domination of one group over another, but coexistence and shared progress.
Politics that leans on division might win applause in the short term, but it weakens the foundation of the country in the long run.
South Africa’s strength lies in its diversity, economically, socially, and culturally.
If you are serious about growth, stability, and real transformation, then the focus should be inclusion, not selective participation based on identity.
Nation-building is not a solo project… it’s a collective responsibility. 🇿🇦Please share this until it reaches him because he blocked me🤣

We are all so sad today. Chippie was such a mix of hard but kind. He was “get it done on time” and “I’ve got time for you as well.” Early riser with times, places, weights, names, tickets, shelter, transport + food options fixed + ready. In PE this year, I asked if he’d had time to read the paper. “All of them. Every day. No idea why.” He was so helpful to my wife when she was ill. Pure gent + unparalleled rugby man. RIP Chippie Solomon, you strong and gracious man. My heart goes out to your family, both blood + wider WP community. 💙🤍💙
