@chrisw_co_za True, but the question remains why no-one can tell the Civilian Protectorate to withdraw or rewrite a Bill in the same way the DA Minister did. It's not a Bill that will make the ANC or SAPS popular but will only cause problems for both.

If the AI Bill can be withdrawn by the Minister and the people who published it punished, then WHY does the Minister of Police feel compelled to present the Firearms Amendment Bill to Cabinet? It lacks stakeholder input and will cause problems in the GNU, just withdraw it!

The NEDLAC process has been a sham there has been no genuine stakeholder engagement only echo chambers from GFSA. I hope @IanCameron23 and the @Our_DA are aware of what is (and is not) going on. NEDLAC must explain HOW and WHY 120K written submissions were ignored?

@Paratus2014 Them wanting us to rely on a Police force they even admit can't keep us safe is ludicrous. It's like saying you are not allowed to seek medical attention or do your own first aid when injured you have to wait for a Doctor that everyone knows will never get there before you die.

The S.African government does not have violent crime even remotely under control. Hence the onus falls on you - the private citizen - to protect yourself and invest in your and your community's resilience. Part of this is opposing harmful firearm legislation amendments.
