If you don’t know the name and affiliation of the person who you say is a terrorist, how are we supposed to believe you were targeting said terrorist? Ok. Would he feel safe in a crowd where most of the people were carrying knives, or hammers? Well they likely are not since security for event like that would screen for weapons, all weapons. As for a threat from outside the event? A person with a pistol could wreak havoc. As could someone with a Mini-14 which is not considered to be an “assault weapon.” So we are starting with a play on emotion. As far as I can tell, we don’t base our laws in emotion.

For the first time, I will not be going to tonight’s West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval. I would not feel safe in that crowd knowing that US citizens are permitted to own military style assault weapons.

I hear a lot of assumption in people’s arguments. Like, “he enjoyed the chaos.” Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. Either way it has no bearing on the case. Hard to prove state of mind and really isn’t relevant to the case. Another thing people assume is that he had direct influence. Did he? Like actual personal relationships or power over these disparate groups that showed up on Jan 6. Saying somebody made a call, or even having the call on tape, does not necessarily prove influence. There are a lot of moving parts these cases.

The crowd was getting out of hand and people were begging Trump to call them off. His staff, his advisors. He waited. He enjoyed the chaos. That's why he's in trouble.

This is crazy to me. Why does it seem to me that Republicans want to divide America from the rest of the world? Do people not realize that America is stronger with our allies? I believe a unified world is a better world. A divided world is a more dangerous and less productive world. Yes America is wealthier than most but that doesn’t mean it brings us down to help the rest of the world. It benefits us from a national security and productivity standpoint in my opinion.
