Today we celebrate the birthday and honor the life and legacy of DC’s Mayor for Life, Marion Barry. I’ll always be proud of launching the first petition calling for a major street to be renamed in his honor. Now we have Marion Barry Avenue— a permanent tribute to our dear mayor.
