@micah_erfan Laughably stupid. A Democrat has been mayor since January 1, 2014. How did all those potholes get there?

@GreyWolfGraphix @RealEJAntoni Yes, it was. Right after the 1973 oil crisis. People hated it. However, almost all counties in Indiana didn’t observe DST back in the 1970s. They stayed on standard time year round. State law in 2006 made DST mandatory in Indiana. You missed it but it happened.

@RealEJAntoni After 119 years, this needs to GO AWAY. I was in High School in Indiana in the 70's. NOT ONE TIME was 'permanent' Daylight Savings Time ever tried. Stop lying. If it was a Democrat, instead of Trump, doing this, no one would be bitching about it.

We tried permanent Daylight Savings Time in the 70's and it was such a disaster that it was repealed in less than a year - the better choice is to lock the clock on permanent Standard Time: dailysignal.com/2026/05/21/tim…

@Dashytwo Laughably stupid. If he gave all 8 billion people just one dollar, that’s 8 billion dollars. He could give one billion dollars to 351 people. Dumb.

When you get right to it, "black voters" are the toys of Democrats. You don't hear about "black representation" when there's a seat to be taken. None of these people are serious. When will white people wake up? All the racist crap they yell at you is FAKE.

@Dreamweasel The show was losing $40 million a year. It’s audience was a fraction of the Letterman show. Economic decision.

Fuck David Ellison & everyone at CBS who is responsible for canceling The Late Show. David Letterman built something magnificent for you, & Stephen Colbert expertly brought it into the modern era. And you threw it all away in an instant because Dear Leader cannot take a joke.

Insane corruption from a homeless project in Los Angeles, California - The Weingart NGO got a $30 million dollar grant for homeless housing - A senior citizen home was cleared of elderly residents - The property was listed on the market for $11.2 million, but it was then sold to Weingart for $27 million (huge gap of money that disappeared) The city pays the NGO extremely high rates, $400,000 per bed per year for homeless housing on this property The building sits empty The NGO has no obligation to put a homeless person in a bed, so they can bill for every room at $400,000 per year with no one in them It doesn’t stop there. Taxpayers also cover the purchase, operations, upkeep, and problems even if the facility sits empty The Weingart NGO operates around 10 similar homeless housing facilities We need prison sentences for every Democrat involved in these deals and every NGO executive Spencer says he will hand them over to the IRS and DOJ for investigation and prosecution I saved him some time and looked up who handed the money out Key Democrats Who Oversaw the Money - Mayor Karen Bass (Democrat) - Former Mayor Eric Garcetti (Democrat) - Key member on the Housing & Homelessness Committee is Nithya Raman (Democrat) who has been involved in oversight and funding decisions - LA County Board of Supervisors (All Democrats) I think the problem is clear

Zero out all wealth above $1 billion. A nurse in queens shouldn’t be working two jobs to feed her family when 800 billionaires are hoarding all the economic benefit. You can keep a billion, Jeff. The rest goes back. We’ll even name a dog park after you. This is the easy way…
Jeff Bezos@JeffBezos

Zero out taxes for the bottom half of earners. A nurse in Queens shouldn’t be sending money to Washington. Washington should be sending her an apology.

Mr. Bezos: Let's have that debate. Under my 5% billionaires wealth tax, we'd: -Give $12K to a working family of 4 -Expand Medicare for dental, vision, hearing -Guarantee universal childcare -Raise starting teacher pay to $60K And you'd still be worth $269 billion after taxes.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

Jeff Bezos on CNBC: "If people want me to pay more billions, then let's have that debate, but don't pretend that that's gonna solve the problem. You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens.... Airbnb isn't causing high rents. What's really causing high rent is government intervention."

@MelatKirosCO A Federal Tax on wealth is simply unconstitutional. Neither wealth nor unrealized capital gains are income. The 16th amendment only allows taxation of income. The apportionment clause of the Constitution prevents direct taxes on property & wealth without apportionment by States.

Love Fran, but… the Top 1% of NYC earners pay 48% of the taxes Too 10% pay 70%+ if you chase them out you will need to dramatically cut services for all New Yorkers — the math doesn’t math
Marco Foster@MarcoFoster_

Fran Lebowitz on the billionaires: “Every time someone suggests [a wealth tax] they say I’m moving. Go! They add nothing to New York. In the 19th century, those robber barons, they employed people. All this money magic employs no one. Goodbye, go. We don’t need you”

Few public intellectuals have done more to warn Americans about how the coddling of children produces intolerant adults than Jonathan Haidt and Greg Lukianoff. Their 2018 book, The Coddling of the American Mind, argued that helicopter parenting, the decline of unsupervised play, and the rise of campus safetyism had set up a generation for failure. They warned that universities were teaching students three Great Untruths: that hardship makes you weaker, that you should always trust your feelings, and that life is a battle between good people and evil people. Haidt, a social psychologist and professor at NYU's Stern School of Business, has spent more than a decade documenting the link between fragility and authoritarianism. Lukianoff, the president of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, took over the group in 2006 and has spent two decades documenting censorship on American campuses. FIRE today operates with an annual budget above $32 million and a staff of 120, including roughly 20 lawyers. For exactly that reason, it was dispiriting to watch students at Haidt’s own university enact the behavior he and Lukianoff have spent a decade trying to combat. Graduates booed Haidt as NYU President Linda Mills welcomed him to the stage at Yankee Stadium on May 14, 2026. About three dozen students walked out of the venue while he spoke. The booing followed a May 5 open letter from the Executive Committee of the NYU Student Government Assembly, which called Haidt’s selection “deeply unsettling” and demanded that the administration reconsider its decision. Most revealingly, the committee complained that “many students have reported feelings of disappointment, disgust, unenthusiasm, defeat, and embarrassment,” language that mirrors the therapeutic vocabulary Haidt and Lukianoff diagnosed as the central pathology in Coddling. The students treated emotional discomfort with a speaker’s ideas as the equivalent of a physical threat. “Was he the safest option,” asked the students, without any apparent irony, “considering the current political climate and his critiques of liberal ideology?”.... x.com/shellenberger/… Please subscribe now to support Public's award-winning journalism, read the full article, and watch the full video! x.com/shellenberger/…

NEWS — Local prosecutors warn Trump: "If you send ICE to the polls, we'll put them in jail." District attorneys across the U.S. announced today that they’ll charge federal agents sent to conduct voter intimidation. “We’ll lock their asses up,” vowed Philly DA Larry Krasner.

@adgirlMM The reason is because anyone with common sense & a concern for the people of LA could do a better job fixing the city than the incompetent fool who is currently occupying the office of Mayor of LA. She has experience destroying the city. Let’s vote for that. Insane.

If progressivism is "pro-science," why is heritability of traits attacked? Why are they against GMO food? Why did they spend decades stopping research into innate sex differences? Why is the most robust research area in all of psychology (IQ) attacked? Why do they reject nuclear power? Why do they reject the clear and endlessly replicable research findings regarding stereotype accuracy? Why do they still embrace discredited concepts like stereotype threat and the IAT? Why do they believe that a person can change their biological sex? Why was their firmly held position for decades that evolution of the human brain had not occurred since humans left Africa? I could go on and on. Apart from MAGA, they are the most anti-science group in America. And why? For the reason I gave in my original post.
