@lex_node whole point of provenance is it proves it to the world, why is this outcome bad for that? im generally opposed to copyright but also pragmatic that it’ll take a culture shift over a long time

RIP provenancOOOrs provenance makes no sense as the value prop for owning NFT collectibles if the NFT proves provenance, it proves it to the world--not just the owner Fundamentally NFT collectibles are meant to be instruments representing rights to IP etc, but are just poorly set up for that aim in most cases, leading to misleading marketing, rug risk, etc....

3/ Court finds NFTs are eligible for trademark protection, despite being intangible, citing Hermes as NFTs are purchased to exclusively own the content associated with the NFT, not the "digital deed" divorced from any other asset.

7/ Cybersquatting: rrbay(.)com + apemarket(.)com found to be confusingly similar to Yuga's marks. Moreover, Ds acted with bad faith intent to profit, namely, for commercial gain to divert customers from purchasing BAYC NFTs.

@real_bb666 The point of Ethereum is that it's credibly NEUTRAL. That means using it has to be useful to both you AND your worst opponent, without giving them enough power to wipe you out if they gain the upper hand in the near future

@v3xdd @sassal0x @biancoresearch I mean, could be. The point is that by this point, many people who WOULD stake are those who WOULDN'T just unstake and sell simply because now they CAN. I feel they are mostly people that believe in the network as a whole and are parking permanent cash there

I don’t think people realize what ChatGPT plugins will become. It’s a whole new internet protocol. Over time, every site on the internet will have an API and an ai-plugin.json file. AI will have an internet-wide map with instructions for how to interface with the world.
