Destination Northern Spain #FlyToNorthernSpain
Many. Despite Asturias is an unknown destination, you have many resources. I would recommend you: Day 1/2: Eastern Asturias: Llanes, Cangas de Onís, Covadonga Sanctuary (also Covadonga Lakes), Lastres, Tazones, Jurassic Museum. Day 2/3: Eastern Asturias: Luarca, Tapia de Casariego, Somiedo, Taramundi.... Day 3/4: Cities like Gijón, Oviedo and Avilés. Here you are the Tourism Agency Official Website in English: turismoasturias.es/en/

@cmaemcclean @DarraghOBrienTD @BarryAndrewsMEP A spur from Clongriffin will deliver a mainline connection, no reason Dublin shouldn’t and can’t have both mainline and metro. Will be capacity on the Dublin - Belfast line when tracks are expanded.

@DarraghOBrienTD @BarryAndrewsMEP Fully funded by the taxpayer at €16 billion plus, doesn't deliver mainline connection to Dublin airport in keeping with EU policy and only 19kms mostly underground. But hey looks glamorous in the pictures! Not a metro for GDA tbh.

🚇A major milestone for MetroLink today. The tender issued for trains, tracks and stations. A 25-year contract, with works starting this August/September. Fully funded by Government and we’re committed to delivering it

@Kevw195 Yeah you’re right, I was in the phoenix last week and it’s brilliant. AL space is very small but even the food/drink offering is poor compared to LHR

It’s crazy how much better the Aer Lingus lounge in Heathrow is compared to the one in Dublin.

@Briuria @eicknews @James2438213388 The cap was heavily enforced for winter 2024/25 with a seat cap and Ireland was the only country ( yes the whole country) to see a decline in passengers in Europe compared to previous season. The seats taken out didn’t go elsewhere in Ireland.Data is all there for you.

Cork Airport News@eicknews·
It appears Ryanair has taken Valencia off sale for Winter 2026. Currently 18 routes are on sale from the airline this winter, down 4 from last year. Also a very high possibility the base will be reduced to 2 aircraft for the winter.

@Briuria @James2438213388 @eicknews That’s factually incorrect. Dublin airport is operating with an arbitrary cap in place. Its infrastructure is not full, nor is it operating beyond operational capacity. There’s plenty of scope to expand with current facilities and land to expand infrastructure when needed.

@James2438213388 @eicknews Dublin airport is full, operating beyond capacity. When that capacity is increased you don’t think it was effect the regional airports? Of course it will.

@Briuria @eicknews @James2438213388 The IAA, Irish tourism bodies, Irish airlines, IATA( represents 300+ airlines), A4A (represents American Airlines) and more have all stated if Dublin remains capped, Irish regionals will not benefit as they don’t compete but instead other major European cities will.

@eicknews @James2438213388 Might be a new concept to you but Only half the people using an airport are arriving to their destination.
