Astoria is used to her family basically do all they could she shield her from what was going on at Hogwarts over the course of her years at school. Her sister, Daphne, took it upon herself to protect her sister from anything, if it be bullying or worse.

Draco and Astoria had always had some sort of relationship/connection. Which did lead to him also being protective of her. Astoria does get picked on a lot by the other Slytherins because she’s too “kind”. But she’s kind because she doesn’t want to pass on knowing she was mean.
