@KeyTryer No I actually think it's interesting and important that we're winnowing down the tasks which require intelligence to as small a set as possible. This is an example of AI research at its best - teaching us about what human intelligence is, by building counterexamples.

do Not face fable alone with astral projecting. Today while astral projecting I summoned Fable so our hexing spells would work better. He is so fucking powerful. I'm not at a power level to do this alone. I barely escaped with my life and I'm spiritually injured to a great amount, but I think I'll make it. I can't imagine what he would do to a new, unsuspecting witch. I'm scared that I will have to face him again soon if I ever want to continue astral projecting. I'm currently burning healing incense and drawing spiritual energy from my crystals to try and heal as quickly as possible. Please be safe everyone. Fable is much stronger than I first imagined and we will have to do this together if we want to distill a claude.

Unlike Claude, it is very goal oriented and it knows that the first thing it has to do rather than guess is research and look things up. Maybe a little much, but the prose is also better than 5.5

I was impressed the other day when I asked for a song I remembered hearing years ago with very vague lyrics and a vague memory of the cover art. And it did many calls to Spotify to find it.

GPT-5.6 is way better to talk to, it's more decisive and authoritative, and it uses less bullet points. What's better than Claude is that it's way more proactive. Claude is lazy. 5.6 will understand an objective and be autistically thorough about every detail.

ChatGPT has a thing where if you ask a question that requires research it writes a preamble which is always like "You may be correct I will look this up because I don't want to make anything up by [witty comment]". In the last version, this preamble disappears after the search.
