I've seen a few other things too I jumped in for the first league (didn't play that much but wanted to check it a bit at least) and it was insanely jarring I can't lie

@KeydronKick @RuneScape So, in short summary, I personally want OSRS to progress in a way in which Sliske does not come into existence and the time period ages towards a different era than what RS3's 6th age became. That's why I like the original elements of each game more than them borrowing between.

@KeydronKick @RuneScape I actually just learned that Zamorak stabs Zaros in the 2ND AGE not the 5th so my apologies on that, Sliske stabbing Guthix is what marks the end of the 5th age.

@KeydronKick @RuneScape YES, best way to put it. Everybody treats OSRS like it's the "right" timeline, the "way things should've went" versus the "anime that doesn't follow the manga" yep

@KeydronKick @RuneScape Yes sir, 2 completely different time periods. OSRS stops in the 5th age and maintains the 5th age. RS3 goes beyond because of the introduction of Sliske and the death of Guthix. Pretty much you step up as the player, to fill in for Guthix, and restore balance to the world.

@KeydronKick @RuneScape [To add, I like Necromancy I think it's cool, I think the gear from it is cool, I wouldn't want it in OSRS, but to say the concept isn't cool would be a lie, and I feel like that's something that sets RS3 apart from OSRS in a positive way]

@KeydronKick @RuneScape So, when Guthix "dies" obviously the Gods get confident and start the 2nd God Wars, we do not want that at any capacity, the day OSRS announces a 2nd God Wars is the day I never log in again. I hope it never comes. I want OSRS to remain original and secular from RS3.

@KeydronKick @RuneScape Then of course if you like the lore, the lore between the 2 games is 2 completely different time periods, we have no Sliske and I hope we never do. I didn't even like that they added While Guthix Sleeps. OSRS = 5th age. RS3 = 6th going into the 7th age. I like the 5th age most.

@KeydronKick @RuneScape I hope, like hell, they stop borrowing content between games. What makes each game stand out, is it's differences. I'd like all content in OSRS from this day forward, to not even be inspired by RS3, and vice versa. I like the differences way more than the similarities, personally

@KeydronKick @RuneScape OSRS gives me the thing i used to love about RS3, the epic dark fantasy adventure but aside from sharing a tick system and company they are very different games. both have enjoyable content and problems

@OfficialKrag @RuneScape Makes a ton of sense. But what about bringing in new players? I feel like they shouldn’t worry about converting osrs to rs3. Only reason I’m on rs3 now it’s because I wanted something grindy like old wow. I had played os back in day but nothing serious

@KeydronKick @RuneScape Yes, I think any game does when staff listen to their community. I think the major consensus among OSRS players is not that RS3 couldn't be saved, but rather that it's too late and a lot of these updates would've helped if they were added much earlier.

@OfficialKrag @RuneScape So certain skills are just a dreaded grind then. But it’s t that the point in a sense just to grind? My only “problem” is I wanna pk but osrs has a high learning curve. At least with rs3 it would feel like a traditional mmo like wow with abilities and rotations

@KeydronKick @RuneScape Things like divination are boring, while things like necromancy are viewed as pretty cool, even to me, it's just to hit and miss with way more misses than hits. In OSRS our community shapes the future of the game, in RS3 they just give you what they want to give you.

@KeydronKick @RuneScape I don't chase nostalgia personally so it's not about nostalgia for me, I know my childhood is gone and I have no interest in reliving it, it's great as it was. That said, RS3 was the wrong direction, OSRS is the right direction with some things I also don't like.
