Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 has taken another step in its monetary reforms.
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has introduced a new series of ZiG banknotes with advanced security features and designs that celebrate the country’s Big Five wildlife.
The ZiG10, ZiG20, and ZiG50 notes will enter circulation on 7 April 2026 and will be used alongside existing notes.
Annual ZiG inflation eased to 3.8% in February 2026, down from 4.1% in January, signalling improved monetary control, more stable prices, and a firmer exchange rate.
The current rate is 1 USD = 25.65 ZiG.
