🧵 We are building out security infrastructure for NØNOS before the v0.8.4 release next week. We now have nine automated pentesting jobs that run on every single commit to main. Supply chain scanning against RUSTSEC found two unmaintained dependencies in our ZK stack, adler and derivative, both from the arkworks ecosystem. No active vulnerabilities but we're scheduling replacements anyway. The static analysis picked up 24 raw pointer operations which sounds scary until you realize we're writing a kernel and every single one is in the scheduler, APIC driver or VGA buffer code where you literally cannot avoid unsafe. All properly documented with safety invariants.

🧵 NØNOS Bootloader Added ZK replay protection to the boot attestation. Every proof is now bound to the kernel hash, a fresh boot nonce, the timestamp and a TPM-derived machine ID. A captured proof cannot be replayed on different hardware or a different boot session. Redesigned the UI with transparent cyan panels rendered directly over an embedded wallpaper.
