Israel is still very much bombing Gaza. Civil defense reports that 40 Palestinians are either killed or under the rubble after an Israeli shelling of a residential building in Gaza city.

Not enough people are talking about this. My village and a few others were officially annexed this Saturday, now a part of “Israel,” Palestinians living there no longer have a Palestinian ID number and need a permit to live and travel on their land, and it can be revoked anytime.

Mahmoud Khalil was thrown in prison for 3 months for protesting Gaza and the day ABC pulled Kimmel off the air (for two eps!) a judge upheld Khalil’s deportation. Rümeysa Öztürk was kidnapped off the street and imprisoned for writing an op-ed on Gaza. I feel like I’m going insane

People are saying everyone’s alarms should’ve gone off when Free Palestine protestors were being kicked out of school, beaten and arrested. But let’s also remember that Stop Cop City protestors were being killed, labeled terrorists and slapped with RICO charges for bail funds.

I have cancelled a planned legislative trip to Israel. My hope had been to learn and ask tough questions of the Israeli government actions, particularly related to humanitarian aide in Gaza. I am grateful to the constituents who helped me see the harm of this approach. 1/5
