@Chindogg21 In the future when someone clarifies that’s just not how they feel and you persist trying to invalidate that when they’re not begrudging you your own opinion- that’s generally considered bad form.

@Chindogg21 You won’t accept my opinion, and keep trying to explain why it isn’t valid. Cuz “that’s not the entire game”. It doesn’t have to be. If my diet consists of 97% food and 3% antifreeze most doctors will tell you that’s too much antifreeze. it’s a logical fallacy.

I don’t find this stuff to be “cozy” tbh, I feel like that word is losing meaning rapidly. This kind of stuff is more just… silly/dumb. Which CAN be fine, jokey items have a place, but as said here, it’s becoming more frequent than anything that actually *fits the setting*.

@Chindogg21 I have, like 8 times. You’ve been trying to explain why I’m not allowed, and frankly it’s irritating.

@Khorgnir My point is that they're making like 20% goofy for all the other non-goofy options. There's still multiple "normal" sets released this season on top of the normal sets in the trader post. Just say you don't like the goofy stuff in the game.

@Chindogg21 Cool! Maybe if they hadn’t spent more time on this nonsense stuff, we could have gotten new actual armor sets and not our 3rd recolor of T2!

@Khorgnir We literally just got another recolor of the upgraded T2 sets with weapons, for example. If your argument is that the goofy stuff should only be in the shop, then that's your opinion. I just disagree with that notion.

@Chindogg21 Okay, and that’s not how I feel. I would like less time put into making 100 murloc plush variants or a big sword that looks like candy, and more put into Warcraft things. “There’s still not stupid gear” is not a logical rebuttal of what I’m saying.

@Khorgnir It's not strawmanning. It's literally one avenue of transmog where there's an absurd amount of "traditional" sets and pieces available in the game in 20 other ways. But because it's highlighted in the store and trader post it seems like that's all there is.

@Chindogg21 Okay then the trading post sucks and I want that change, you’re strawmanning a bit here. There’s more absurdist setting-breaking stuff being added than is beneficial imo, especially cuz that’s work being taken from actual Warcraft stuff.

@Khorgnir Then there's tier gear, prey gear, dungeon gear, delve gear, pvp gear. The trading post and shop are the only places where you get goofy stuff. It's not like it's dominating the game.

@Chindogg21 This is like a ton of what’s on the trading post? Pajamas, goofy ACME style weapons, cartoon diving gear, water guns, bullseyes on our backs, giant turkey leg maces. It should be MOSTLY stuff like the gilneas item, with like 5% this sprinkled in

@Khorgnir Eh. For every silly transmog you get like 6 theme appropriate transmogs. It's just that the silly ones are paywalled, which is what I thought we all wanted?

@Khorgnir Its a plushie onesie, its the very definition of cozy. Just because its not making scones in the Shire by the light of a warm fire doesn't make it not "cosy"

@Khorgnir The more we bring real world products and modern ideology into a fantasy setting it dilutes it to the point where it isnt fantasy anymore its a parody of fantasy

@JezCorden They also aren’t usually mascot costumes tho which most of these sets essentially are. They’re in line with stuff like the bullseye back piece, water gun set, and turkey themed weapons for thanksgiving imo

@BRADZ0NE Khaz Algar is one giant digsite. Like. In lore, that is arguably literally true. The wasted potential.

@Khorgnir adding my voice to this, I MISS ARCHAEOLOGY!!!! and the last few expansions in particular could have really used it imo. like how the fuck did TWW not have any digsites that pissed me off

I would personally much rather they put resources into building and continuing more evergreen things like archeology and pet battles than 2 new forms of content with its own systems and currency per patch. Especially when everything is relevant for genuinely a couple months now.

@Dork___Fish It’s a lot of easy worldbuilding, too. Cuz ultimately the bulk of it, is just text and tooltip icon art. It shouldn’t be a very high maintenance system to upkeep really.

@Khorgnir I was too young to appreciate archeology, and that I am older, I miss it. It would actually go SO hard for a lot of things too, especially with the zones for Midnight, going over ancient Amani stuff, and fiddling with Haranir lore.

Everything is so compartmentalized and independent from everything else in the game now. I feel like world content of all caliber of casual to most difficult, is more just a series of minigames. In a weird way it makes the world feel disjointed from world content.
