Simon's Cat / $CAT should be the top cat memecoin. here's why... let's start by taking a look at the top four cat memecoins by market cap: - $POPCAT: $1.5b - $MOG: $1.02b - $MEW: $860m - $CAT: $280m bonk guy believes that the above is a product of market inefficiencies that will be resolved at some point in favor of CAT CAT is currently trading at 1/5 the market cap of POPCAT and at least 1/3 the market caps of MOG and MEW yet CAT should actually be trading at a higher valuation than all of the above cat memecoins purely based on fundamentals i want you to read the above line again because it is NOT a mistake i will outline the bull case for Simon's Cat and why i believe it to be the most undervalued cat memecoin in this thread as i've long promised! let's start with actual MEME RECOGNITION and MAINSTREAM POPULARITY Simon's Cat is unarguably the most mainstream and most popular of all the above memes (not the coins; the actual memes) but you don't have to take my word for it here's a quick overview of some of Simon's Cat numbers: - 4 billion+ views on videos across their main channels i.e. Youtube, Facebook, and Tiktok - 10 million followers on the main Simon's Cat Facebook page - 6.3 million+ subscribers on the main Youtube page - 5.4 million+ fans on the main Instagram page - 3.5 million+ followers and 30 million+ likes on TikTok - mainstream recognition and possibly billions of additional views through the meme and animation series being featured on TV channels across the globe - a Simon's Cat Wikipedia page i also want to be clear that Simon's Cat isn't just some random channel with tens of thousands of videos with average views that inflate the idea of its overall popularity the most successful Simon's Cat videos have been viewed 30 - 60 million+ times EACH across channels like Youtube, Facebook, etc i'm talking about at least a dozen individual videos that have each been viewed over 30 - 60 million views across their top channels that's some serious mainstream popularity! the above are numbers from the main channel, mind you if you go down the rabbit hole, you will likely find another hundreds of millions to possibly 1 billion+ views around the meme and series across other channels and fan made content i was interacting with a crypto bro last week and he told me he showed his girlfriend a POPCAT meme and asked if she knows it and she said no, but immediately he showed her a Simon's Cat meme she was ecstatic and said, "Yes, i know this!!!' believe it or not, i've had interactions similar to the above with a lot of people... and Simon's Cat always comes out on top Simon's Cat is pretty big when it comes to mainstream brand recognition among retail/normies , especially among cat lovers it's very hard to see a cat owner/lover who is active on the internet that does not know Simon's Cat $CAT is backed by the official Simon's Cat IP and social channels it isn't unusual for a memecoin to launch off the back of a popular meme only to be later threatened by the actual IP owner in fact, we've had highly successful memecoins pretty much die from this kind of IP threat while degens do not care about this: 'it's just a memecoin and i don't give a damn about some IP' the reality is that T1 CEXs (Binance/Coinbase/Upbit/etc) and major entitites will not touch memecoins with IP issues with a ten-foot pole because while the memecoin is likely decentralized and launched by an anon, these CEXs are real entities that could be held liable for IP violations and it's just not worth the drama for them and a lack of key CEX listings would most definitely negatively impact the traction and adoption of a memecoin one of the things that is most notable about $CAT is that it is backed by the actual Simon's Cat brand and IP it's not just some random memecoin LARPing off someone else's IP in fact, CAT isn't only backed by the official Simon's Cat IP. it is also backed by official Simon's Cat channels: official Simon's Cat channels have promoted and will continue to promote the $CAT memecoin the 10 million follower Simon's Cat Facebook page has published a few posts about the token, as have other mainstream channels this is an advantage no other cat memecoin in the space has right now premium ticker recognized by key T1 CEXs a key selling point for the Simon's Cat memecoin that i see very few people talk about is its ticker: $CAT it's really that simple imagine seeing cat coins exploding and everyone talking about the cat memecoin sector being undervalued, then you go to your favorite CEX and you see the 'CAT' ticker what do you think? 'CAT' is such a premium ticker that should enhance Simon's Cat value significantly in and of itself and in this case the ticker has been integrated by Binance, OKX, Kucoin, Bybit, etc, so it is pretty much locked down by Simon's Cat CAT has a low unit bias advantage for the past year i've screamed from above the rooftops about the importance of unit bias and some of the biggest accounts on here shouted down the idea of unit bias ever having any relevance because 'this cycle is different' (famous last words, right?) more recently, however, the whole space is starting to come to terms with the importance of unit bias especially for memecoins don't get me wrong: i'm not saying memes that do not incorporate low unit bias will not make it i'm also not saying that unit bias is the ONLY thing a memecoin needs to succeed. far from it, as there are a lot of low unit bias memecoins in the graveyard! that said, low unit bias is a SIGNIFICANT advantage for a memecoin ALL OTHER THINGS BEING EQUAL as the legendary GCR says: 'Why would any person in sound mind, buy 100 cones, when they could own a million?' like it or hate it, but the popular cat memecoin on CT won't necessarily be the popular one with retail we've seen this play out over and over recently and i think there will be a reckoning when it comes to this in the cat memecoin sector at some point soon CAT is literally the most popular cat meme amongst retail in the sector, it has the best ticker, and it also has a low unit bias advantage narrative, community, and liquidity i've repeatedly said that the three most important ingredients for the success of a memecoin are: - narrative - community - liquidity/accessibility how does CAT fare when it comes to this? 1. narrative: CAT is a memecoin based on a mainstream cat meme and animation series. it is currently a low cap in a nascent cat memecoin sector that will almost certainly do multiple Xs from here 2. community: CAT inherited strong, battle-tested, diamond hands holders from the floki community due to the strategic move it made by airdropping a significant portion of its supply to FLOKI holders and partnering with them on its launch. it is also poised to capture a significant amount of users from the mainstream Simon's Cat community, and there are A LOT of them! 3. liquidity/accessibility: CAT has the following advantages: - a fat liquidity pool on BNB chain - it recently launched on Solana with decent liquidity - ot is one of the only two cat memecoins to be listed on OKX spot - it is one of the only four cat memecoins to be listed on Binance perps - it is listed on Kucoin, Gate, Bitvavo, and dozens of other CEXs - it is due to list on top Korean and US CEXs - it is consistently one of the most traded cat memecoins in the entire sector to conclude... I’ll always say, my model memes here and beyond are $ROO, $LEO, and $WELSH. They’ve become the unwritten standards for me, and it’s not by accident. Some other OG tokens like Nothing and Bitcoin Pepe have been around for a while. There are so many other incredible communities out there too. They didn’t last just because their founders or communities are amazing. These communities have stood the test of time because they’ve set a standard. They’ve shown what’s possible and what’s worth sticking around for. If we hold onto these standards, even just a little, then when new projects enter the space, they’ll know exactly what they’re up against. They’ll have to measure up to something real. And that’s how we keep the quality in check. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this rug. They played us. And that’s the hardest part, but it’s a lesson we learn.
