Apology for the small drama I found myself in regarding AI, and the game NTE. (long rant sorry)

@IAmEmaMae put into place for this, but I do feel that something like this is more feasible to use AI in.

@IAmEmaMae for example; if a voice actor did all of the voice lines in game, then AI were to voice in just the Name of the player. It could give a more immersive experience. Instead of everyone just calling the MC "Trailblazer" or "Traveler". There would still be more research and laws

A thread of some of the different kinds of AI I know of and how I personally choose to interact with them (or not). For your reading pleasure, I have ranked them from worst to best. If you wanna add your own thoughts, feel free but I will block unnecessarily nasty responses.

Everyone makes mistakes, Mine was thinking X could be a good coping mechanism. I was wrong and became no better then the drama farmers on here. I wish no ill will towards anyone, just enjoy what you want, and be proud of who you are.

Learned the people on this platform suck and make every point to try and make you feel bad and kys. I am not engaging here anymore. I gave it my chance.

It's common knowledge every AI model uses copyrighted shit in the dataset, you'd need proof of the fact otherwise at this point It would also be a waste of time to even make one without that massive free data available (and Hoyo weren't making text to vid models anw back then)

I wonder where is Ant-ai outrage now...

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn I asked for proof, I got proof, I accepted the reality, then I asked for the copyrighted content, didn't get any info other then, "they couldn't do it in 2023, so they can't do it now." Oh ya and forgot to call myself tech illiterate as well. Does that sum it up?

@Kia_Impact @elvenmaidinn Nobody hates any company here, you're just too keen on defending one of them when it's obvious that's not the case Imagine I started coping the TV animation in NTE wasn't AI and started demanding random proofs when it clearly is

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn I am tired of screaming at a wall. We both want proof and yet no one can give it. Hoyo is who needs to give it. My mistake was thinking people on X could hold any sensible conversation, but guess it is no use. Everyone on this platform sucks.

@Kia_Impact @elvenmaidinn This leans more into the territory of blatantly glazing a company when the facts are obvious You can just refer to the emissions analogy if you don't understand how the tech works too well If it looks like a rebrand and runs like one, you'd need proof of otherwise, not of it

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn Last I check someone is innocent until proven guilty. We established that they use AI, but we have no way of claiming copyright until that data used is released.

@Kia_Impact @elvenmaidinn to put it into terms you'd understand If car manufacturers from an era were all known to cheat emissions and a company simply rebrands cars from one of them, it's a guarantee that this car cheated emissions You'd need proof that they DIDN'T, not otherwise, because we know it did

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn Again where is the proof that they use current existing models that steal content? Where is the proof that they have shown what they do in the workflow?

@Kia_Impact @elvenmaidinn The training sets using copyrighted works is the norm and they didn't have their models back then (still rlly don't have their own, just adaptations of existing ones) as far as I'm aware so they used one of the standard vid animation ones which were using said content :)

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn Then I should say it more clearly, what "COPYRIGHTED" content has hoyo stolen with AI. Until their is proof that what they used is trained on fan works and illegally obtained content, I will not be engaging with these callouts of hoyo.

@Kia_Impact @elvenmaidinn Your original point was just anti ai and asking for proof where it's used not about rip offs and if it were a rip off without permission, they should've been sued by now but weren't so it begs a question there too, was it actually, "stolen"?

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn Fine you want me to admit it. Yes I don't know what data hoyo has and uses. but you also don't know what they use. My opinion still stands. AI used to steal and make ripoffs of copyrighted content is where I draw my line. At least hoyo isn't ripping full trailers from amines.

@Kia_Impact @elvenmaidinn What do you think the animation models were trained on? 😂 None of these companies make enough content to train any useful thing on their "own works"

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn Yes this looks bad on hoyo, but again they are using their own assets, and not stealing from copyrighted works.

@schizohealer @elvenmaidinn I'll say it again, you all act like I am one a side with the AI drama. I ask for proof you link me all these sketchy articles and redit posts that show nothing. The I see some real proof and you call me a hoyo sucker. My problem with AI is when people use it to STEAL!
