I don't think people realise the reason why the frame count was so high for LOTM, whilst yes the show is very well animated, like every scene has a 3dbg which changes perspective, which counts for differing frames literally every frame.

Lord of Mysteries is really unique in that regard with absolutely mind blowing plot and lore!!!

Okay so this is really interesting to me.
After drawing the boards for episode 5, Hirata proceeded to the next episode to direct storyboards drawn by Mitsunaka. Idk how things turned out this way, but I’m confident directing his own boards would’ve led to an amazing episode.
