If they wanted to not give rewards for points they can. Then the points would just merely be a representation of engagement on xcn ledger.

@JoeBudious @Onyx @base Say you have 100k staked. At 39.2% that is 39200 points a year / by 365 = 107.39. So You take 100k/total staked, 4.66B = 2.1459e-5 * daily points of 5mil= 107.296. That is how the yield is calculated. They aren't creating xcn tokens when sending rewards, it comes from DAO wallet

@JoeBudious @Onyx @base The season points are made up and have no value in themselves. It is merely to encourage engagement and activity with the xcn ledger. They aren't creating xcn tokens when distributing rewards, its coming from the DAO wallet.

@JoeBudious @Onyx @base There are 10 million points distributed daily. Staking gets 50% so 5mil. The other whitelisted assets held on xcn ledger are the other 50%. This is the 2ndseason. I'm not sure how many points were distributed the 1st season but 10mil xcn were distrusted to all that earned points.
