Year 4 have been developing their pedestrian skills as part of their road safety education. Pupils learned how to cross roads safely, identify potential hazards, and navigate different types of crossings with care.

Year 4 learned how to build a simple series circuit using wires, a cell and a bulb. They discovered that the bulb only lights up when the circuit is complete. The children also had a go at drawing their circuits using the correct scientific symbols.

As part of their homework, Year 4 designed their own unique habitats and imagined brand-new species that could live there. This exciting project linked to their Science learning about different habitats and how animals adapt to survive them.

The children in Reception have been learning how to use a ruler to draw straight lines. They were then challenged to draw lines of different lengths and label the number of centimetres.

Working in pairs, Year 4 practised the walking bass using chromatic glockenspiels, focusing on the notes A♯ and D♯. They learned the first section of the bass line (C E G A A♯ A G E x2) and then the second section (F A C D D♯ D C A), taking turns to play each part.

In PSHE, Year 2 have been thinking about foods that are good for our body. We made fruit kebabs and enjoyed them with our friends. We thought about why fruit is a healthy snack and how it gives us energy for the day.

Year 4 became young electricians, experimenting with different materials in simple circuits to investigate whether they are conductors or insulators. From metal spoons to rubber bands, they tested a range of objects and were thrilled to see which allowed electricity to flow!
