@davidubben Being doubted to win the CFP and being doubted to finish in the top half of your conference are two entirely different things. No one doubted UGA would be in the CFP. The rankings indicate that. But it’s a good narrative for Kirby to keep his team focused.

The “people doubted us” narrative is actually very fair re: Georgia. Consensus before the season was Alabama was going to rule the SEC again. And that Georgia was rebuilding. Alabama got 158 votes to win the SEC in preseason. Georgia got 18. I’m just saying.

@uninformedfrog @JDonati_TCU JD is all that we could have asked for as an AD. He’s made great hires, established legacy capital projects, he listens to the fan base, spearheaded a legendary marketing effort. I just hope he stays a while.

I’m sorry…but there is no amount of information you can hurl at me that will make me believe UGA battled being doubted/disrespected. There’s enough video evidence, podcast snippets, tweets, etc. distinctly prove otherwise.

I covered #TCU football for four years for the student newspaper. In that time, the Frogs went 23-24 overall and played in one bowl game (the Cheez-It Bowl). Today, the Frogs play for a national title. This is so surreal. I get emotional thinking about it.

@franfraschilla So if the defender leaps forward toward the defender rather than leaps straight up and the “leg kick out” occurs, what is the call?

I will have more to say on the way “leg kick out” play by shooters by end of weekend (with video). It’s an NCAA rules “point of emphasis” that is not being enforced. It is the cousin to “the flop” and that it is a play designed to “trick” the officials.
