Today, we share the news of the passing of our beloved founder, Dr. James C. Dobson. He went home to be with the Lord peacefully, following a brief illness. Dr. Dobson’s unwavering faith and tireless devotion to the family shaped generations.

On May 26, 1990, I married the love of my life: John Charles Williams, the most honorable man I ever met in the world. We met the first night I arrived at America from China in Austin, TX at his mother's house. I believe it was destiny for us to meet after all the struggles I went through and years of him being single, he was just patiently waiting for a right girl to show up in his life. We dated about two years before getting married. I had to convince my Chinese big family to give their blessings to our interracial marriage. John is the most influential man in my life. Without his love and understanding, his knowledge and wisdom, his patience to teach me about liberty and free market throughout our married years, I might be still trapped in my enslaved mind by the centralized education I received in China. I am a lot more capable today to think freely as an individual because of his tireless efforts trying to educate me with truth and persuade me with reason. I was stubborn in many ways. It was a long process of transformation that took two decades in this country for me to reverse the indoctrination I received in Communist China. I cried at our wedding because I was moved by the beautiful moment I watched in American movies. Those words deeply touched my heart: "To have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part." 35 years later, John is a loving husband, a great father to our three children, a business partner and my best friend. As I am fighting to preserve the precious freedom I found in America and running for Congress in #NH02, John is my strongest supporter, advisor, volunteer, donor, driver and bodyguard. John, I can be quite demanding and hard to deal with sometimes. Thank you for understanding me, putting up with me in your kind and patient way. Thank you for accepting me fully and loving me for who I was and who I am today. You are truly God sent. I am very blessed to have you by my side since I met you 37 years ago on the first day in America. I love you more than I can say. Happy 35th anniversary!
