@GovBillLee Tennessee state standards ARE common core standards. I am a high school teacher. Out the standards side by side - they are the same 🙄

I promised that we would root out Common Core in TN public schools, and we've made tackling this issue a key legislative initiative. Proud to sign a law today that closes the Common Core loophole.

@EvettyTheGreat Mandatory masking, a clear plan for what happens when a class is exposed to the virus. Clear path of yellow vs red. Much prefer hybrid model, fewer students in a room at one time. My class sizes are consistently 30+ in a very small room.

What an amazing “Signing” ceremony we had this morning for the Class of 2019. Every senior got to commit and sign their post secondary plans. Great job @PowellHS_CCC for putting together. These are just a few pics from the event. We will post more throughout the day.

Don’t you dare count us out @GovBillLee. Public educators & students are completely accustomed to doing the impossible with little support & scarce resources. Just give us a level playing field! Private schools receiving PUBLIC $ should be held to same accountability standards.
