Everyone talks about how exciting all the firsts are in your first year of teaching, but nobody really talks about how sad all the first lasts are 🥺😢

@Mrneilhistory I teach elementary so it might be a little different for older kids, but I love using Dojo. When I post a class announcement, it shows me which parents have seen it. When I individually message, it shows parents when I’ve read the message as well as me when they’ve read it.

Well it has been a whirlwind of a few days. Extremely lucky & thankful to be alive. Taking a few days to recover❤️

#question: does anyone have a Kindle paper white?? Thinking of getting one so I can read outside this summer& wanted to hear some thoughts before spending $$$… I’m looking at it like a graduation/birthday present to justify spending so much but want to make sure it’s worth it!📚

Frustrated because I just want to be better. I’m supposed to be having fun with and being my best for my students these last couple days, but I still have to be off my feet as much as possible. It’s been two weeks and every day is a little better but it’s frustrating 🙇🏼‍♀️

We have left Poppy out of the crate more and more frequently- with a 3 hour stretch this weekend- and she did FANTASTIC. So proud of my puppy dog, she’s getting so big 🥺

Had an ice cream cone for breakfast…happy Saturday! 🙂☀️

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone spells my last name wrong… surprise surprise it is wrong in our yearbook🙄 I think I’m most upset because it’s my first class and I would have liked it to be correct ☹️
