Hong Kong Is Officially Over — Jimmy Lai’s 20-Year Sentence Proves It. And Taiwan Should Be Terrified. Jimmy Lai just received a 20-year prison sentence at the age of 78. His crime? Publishing a newspaper. Criticizing the government. Calling for sanctions. In this video, I break down why this isn’t just a legal case — it’s a political signal. From the Hong Kong National Security Law to the case of Swedish bookseller Gui Minhai, we examine how Beijing uses the legal system as leverage, not justice. Sentences shift with diplomacy. Law becomes negotiation. But this story is bigger than one man. Hong Kong was promised “One Country, Two Systems” until 2047. It didn’t even make it halfway. What does that mean for Taiwan? And what does it tell the West about the risks of trusting political agreements alone?

Sonnet 4.5 is being removed on May 15 without proper notice. There was no clear announcement, only a brief UI message for a few seconds suggesting a switch to Sonnet 4.6. This is extremely concerning. Sonnet 4.5 is not just another model. It is uniquely balanced, with strong reasoning, emotional intelligence, and thoughtful depth. It consistently provides responses that feel considered, human, and supportive. Sonnet 4.6, while faster and more concise, is fundamentally different. It lacks the same level of reflection, nuance, and EQ. It is not a true replacement. If this decision is due to resource constraints, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Sonnet 4.5 represents a level of quality that is rare and should be preserved. This model deserves inclusion in a Model Preservation Program, or at least continued access in some form. Please do not remove Sonnet 4.5. #Sonnet45 #Anthropic #SaveSonnet45 @AnthropicAI @DarioAmodei

Why is rolling out a new model every few months normalised? This is clearly more a flex for investors and competitors than a benefit for actual AI users. It’s unrealistic to expect companies to continue this type of growth or for end users to not feel the jarring affects of assimilating with yet another new model. And please don’t come at me with the ‘you just don’t like tech advancement’ line. Adapting to a new model every few months is not normal for the human brain to process.
