Kauto Star Legend

Today will be the last ever Kauto’s Sunday Best. I want to thank you all so much for your support of this Twitter account and more importantly to the magnificent legend Kauto Star.

In my lifetime I will surely never again witness a horse so brilliant! He was a serial grade one winner over a variety of distances. Blessed with incredible class, pace and stamina.

We memorably witnessed him win 2 Gold cups and a record breaking 5 King Georges, not to mention 4 Betfair chases and countless other incredible performances!

Massive thanks to Paul Nicholls, his genius trainer, Ruby Walsh his inspirational jockey, Head lad Clifford Baker who rode him everyday, Rose Loxton and Nicholas Child and the brilliant team at Ditcheat!

And everybody else involved with the phenomenal horse Kauto Star. I have proudly kept this account going in the memory of Kauto for 12 years, but I’m leaving social media for a number of reasons. It just feels the right time.

If you’re wondering who I am, I’m just a fan like yourselves, privileged to have seen him win at many courses and even meet him a few times. Myself and a good friend picked up on the star very early early in his career and went on a journey we will never forget.

We all will forever remember the incredible record breaking horse of a lifetime and true superstar. We don’t need pictures alone, just our vivid memories in awe of passion and triumph.

Thanks to you all for your likes, retweet’s and lovely comments every single Sunday, I loved them! I’ve posted some of my favourite photos today, and I will leave this account open for a good while yet. I’ll alway love racing and support Pf Nicholls and everybody at Ditcheat
