Every one of us that graduated in the '90s that wasn't rich, at some point owned a $600 used vehicle. We owned it out right and we put $10 in gas in it and it got us where we was going all week long.
Obama did away with cheap used vehicles, and now kids have to pay $500 a month to have a vehicle to drive even used.

The main problem with his criticism of conservative antifeminist critics like Inez Stepman and Helen Andrews etc is that he assumes they assume their theories are purely scientific vs explanatory models, which are incomplete by definition.
In other words, in spite of its own claims to levelheadedness and impartiality, it inevitably devolves into personal attacks over their level of investment in “blaming women.” Even if there’s some truth to what he’s saying, I don’t see how this should be disqualifying since the main utility of their case is showing how a relatively small number of knowledge jobs have had an outsize impact on the culture by laundering bad economic and immigration policy.
One of the most retarded things that everyone seems to take for granted is this idea that your polemic counts for less if you’re invested in it since all polemics, good or bad, obviously come from some sense of personal alienation or frustration. This is not the same as the classic woman move of making it about yourself and your personal grievances. I’m sure if he really thought about it, he’d have to grant that it’s funny how this only seems to apply when you have an agenda of your own.

The most annoying thing about this anti-"girlboss" piece is that it just makes stuff up. It admits that some women deserve paychecks, but then claims we are threatened by a "wild proliferation" of "email jobs," by which "anti-feminist" Inez Stepman seems to mean HR jobs. I can find no evidence or source for her claim that HR jobs doubled from 2014 to 2024 (AI reports 10% HR job growth). HR jobs only make up about 0.6% of the US workforce. I have no clue where Stepman got her info. And despite conservative fears, most HR jobs aren't about enforcing political correctness or agendas (the "DEI complex"). HR handles payroll, insurance, retirement benefits, and normal employee issues. This can be very complicated in companies whose reach extends across multiple states. As for HR being a "subsidy for women and minorities," it's true that 2/3 of HR workers are women, but Stepman's own source says that 65% are white! And of the remainder, 10% are Asian and 12% Hispanic. The scary HR DEI black lady is simply a conservative boogeyman. I work in academia, and almost all of my HR encounters are about payroll, health insurance, and retirement accounts. My only DEI experience is once a year, I take a dumb 1-hour online quiz on how not to harass people. There's a lot more nonsense in the piece (DoorDash and nannies are subsidized by the government by allowing illegal immigrants to come into the country so women can work, wtf did you just say???), most of her assertions are based on weak or no data. And she ignores the real female-centric areas like nursing and personal health aids (America has 4 million home health aides and 3.3 million nurses, compared to approximately 900k HR workers). To think, all this fuss is being caused by people freaking out over those women in the viral Australian video ("Gen Z boss and a mini"). Sorry, folks, women work in real jobs, not "email jobs." And those Australian women kicked ass by spreading awareness of their cosmetics startup, TBH Skincare. Selling your product is the essence of real job capitalism! So the email job outrage is over nothing real. I can, however, think of one female-centered job that could safely be eliminated: the anti-feminist working hard to churn out articles claiming that many women shouldn't be working.
