Still miss Gruel on Dame Street, it was my go-to place in Dublin back in the noughties, you could get a simple, tasty meal like bangers and mash, and a bottle of plonk, for about €25.

It feels like failure, but it isn’t. We’re proud of what we achieved, we shot for the stars, poured everything into it — heart, soul, sweat, tears, life savings, even the house deposit — but the brutal truth is the maths just don’t math anymore. The industry is facing unsurmountable challenges. We gave it our very best I’m proud of my team, grateful to our guests, suppliers and FWBs all of whom have been incredibly understanding. My final act as gaffer is to go to bat for my staff so they land safely in new homes and ensure they are fully supported. Many of them have been with me a long time and I’m determined to assist them moving forward. Went to Els club to celebrate with a few friends after their Marathon race yesterday. The prices were expensive before the tax hike. Going out for a pint now is elevated to 'going out for a treat' as I will no longer be doing that regularly with these prices (53dhs a pint there)

Despite all evidence saying otherwise, I think United might win this, these games don’t always follow logic. Hopefully I’m completely wrong 😂
