I call upon every citizen to dedicate ‘Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidan Main’ on 29th August and be a part of this Jan Andolan.

Nand ghar, mera ek vo sapna hai jisko maine apne jeevan mein bohot mehetwa diya hai. We started 20 years ago with 5 nand ghars, today we have 6,000 nand ghars. My dream is to provide 7 crore children nutritious meals, education and sanskaar and to provide skill development and entrepreneurial training to 2 crore women, so that they can earn their livelihood. This requires 13 lakh nand ghars. Yeh mission hai, hum sabka. Every person has ability. Mujhe pura vishwas hai that if given the right foundation and opportunity, they can excel. Pehle 6 saal bacchon ke jeevan mein bahut important hote hain, with education and nutrition mattering the most. Hamare shastron mein likha hai that jo learnings and sanskaar bacchon ko pehle 6 saal mein milti hain wohi unki jeevan ki neev hain. We provide a values-based early education to create citizens who are guided by morals and ethics in everything they do. Nutrition is also crucial. Agar iss umar mein sahi nutrition na mile, toh poori zindagi pe asar padta hai. Is liye, in close collaboration with government agencies and nutrition research institutes, humne ek millet bar launch kiya hai. Isme swaad aur poshan dono hain aur prati din ek khane se nutrition outcomes mein bahut difference ho raha hai. Scientists are studying its effectiveness. The initial results are very encouraging. Bacchon ke saath mahilaon ke taraf bhi hamara kartavya hai. Mujhe bahut nirasha hoti hai when I see that only 10% of women in India are working. They are as capable, if not more, than men. But mauke nahi milte. At our nand ghars, we inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship in women and teach them skills. Abhi tak, 1.7 lakh women have already benefited and are earning Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per month. Lekin, 13 lakh nand ghar banana, yeh mere akele ka kaam nahi hai. It requires a movement. Government has a generous allocation of Rs 20,000 crore per year for anganwadis. We have been fortunate to get some great support from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Amazon, among others. Let’s all collaborate. I invite MPs, MLAs, panchayat leaders, industrialists, businessmen, retired government officers, professionals and leaders from every walk of life to create nand ghars in any place of their choice. With our blueprints, we can undertake the task of building the nand ghar, but others can run it with full freedom, as they like. Isse na keval desh aage badhega, lekin hamare dil ko sukoon bhi milega, as I can assure you that there is no better service and satisfaction than this.
