There will be a Public Hearing on April 7 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers regarding an application to amend the Text of the Land Use By-Law to permit ‘Existing Agricultural Related Industries’ within the Agricultural (A1) Zone and Rezone 830 Belcher Street in Port Williams.

World Down Syndrome Day is observed annually on March 21. The 2026 theme focuses on loneliness and its impact on people with Down syndrome. The day is dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of individuals with Down syndrome.

Nowruz means “New Day” in Persian, and is a festival celebrating the spring equinox by people across various religions and cultural backgrounds. In the Bahá’í Faith, “Naw-Rúz” marks the new year and a joyful celebration to end a period of fasting and reflection.
