During our virtual visit to Ancient Egypt, Year 3 explored the majestic pyramids, Tutankhamun’s grandiose tomb and the intricate hieroglyphics and artefacts. @ElliotSchools

Year 3 visited the Birmingham Museum and the Rep theatre to explore ancient Egypt through artefacts and drama. @ElliotSchools

Year 4 have spent the day building ancient Roman pavilions following learning about the ancient Romans over this half-term. They added Roman designs and patterns and were so creative.

Year 2 have been learning about Sikhism in RE this week. We learnt about the Gurdwara and Langar, a shared vegetarian meal provided by the Gurdwara for free, we sat side by side on the floor and tasted chapatis which are often served as part of Langar.

Lots of fab rock stars and number costumes in 2EF! We’ve had a lovely Number Day.

Year 2 have had a fantastic day celebrating Number Day! We have dressed up, played maths games, completed fun maths activities and raised money for charity!

Year 2 have been learning about length and height and we measured the length of the junior hall. It is 19 metres and 35 centimetres long!

Year 2 enjoyed inviting their adults to the parent workshop this week! We looked at the reading and writing curriculum for year 2 with a particular focus on retrieval, inference and expanded noun phrases. We hope everyone had fun!

Our eco council worked hard to investigate our school’s carbon footprint. The children have been collecting all kinds of data following ⁦⁦@Greenschoolsuk⁩ programme. ⁦@ElliotSchools⁩

Reception have been hard at work in Explore and Learn this week enjoying learning and growing together.

Our brave gardeners defied the weather yesterday. They did some litter picking and started preparing the school grounds for the spring season. ⁦@ElliotSchools⁩

A very busy sporting day yesterday. We had two athletics teams taking part in @HG_SGO @CPSGO indoor athletics. Our morning team finished in 2nd place and our afternoon team came 1st. We then had table tennis after school where the girls did amazingly in a new sport!

Year 2 enjoyed experimenting with colour this week, we identified primary and secondary colours and where we find these on a colour wheel. We also experimented with different brush strokes and how they require different pressures to create.

Year 2 had a fantastic and informative visit from Forward Thinking Birmingham where we spoke about our feelings, how to identify them and who to talk to if we ever need help.

Our budding gardeners have been working hard the last few weeks to improve the green areas around school. @ElliotSchools

Residential 2025. It has been a blast! We are on the road and should be back by 3:30pm.
