This expression tells its story by embodying the classic Kingsbarns Lowland style, featuring fresh fruits and slightly floral notes, while introducing a new dimension of soft, sweet smoke from the ex-peated casks. The result is a whisky worthy of its name. So here's to Coaltown!

Inspired by the rich history of our local area and family heritage, Kingsbarns Coaltown is named after the mining village of Coaltown of Wemyss, situated near Wemyss Castle, the ancestral home of the Wemyss family.

Bottled at 46% and matured exclusively in ex-peated casks, Kingsbarns Coaltown offers a lightly smoky twist on our signature delicate and fruity style - perfect for those who appreciate an approachable yet complex whisky.
