It was great to engage in thoughtful discussions about @MCPS instructional priorities for literacy and mathematics with principal interns! Our focus was on leading for equitable teaching and learning. This is an excellent group of instructional leaders! @MCPSLeaderDev

#MCPSRTWeek- Social Studies instructional leaders discussed how to effectively scaffold and provide access to support emergent multilingual learners. Lots of resources were shared to support this work in social studies classrooms.

#MCPSRTWeek- Secondary Science leaders engaged in a meaningful watershed educational experience "MWEE". Let’s think of innovative ways for students to learn outdoors, a great wellness practice! Thanks to the team at The Smith Center for their collaboration!

#MCPSRTWeek- Secondary Math leaders took a deep dive into Performance Matters to analyze their school’s math data and plan how to share with their leadership team and math teachers. Shout out to the assessment team for their support!

#MCPSRTWeek- High school Health & Physical Education Teachers engaged in a thoughtful discussion about how to be inclusive educators who establish learning environments where students feel safe being their authentic selves. @CaraGrant11 @MCPSHPE

#MCPSRTWeek- World Languages instructional leaders spent time building relationships around their Points of Pride from around the world. They also engaged in thoughtful discussions on how literacy skills are emphasized and supported in language classrooms.

#MCPSRTWeek- Fine arts leaders took time to discuss and collaborate on challenges they faced this year. They also reflected on how their work aligns with the Superintendent’s three priority areas. @drrumpf @IamPhilBarnes
