He started with the word Egypitan Intifada, which actually refers to the Bread riots in 1977. It was not a communist led event and that word has nothing to do with communism. Then the Bread riots were suppressed by the State with the help of the army. So that conflict was the people vs the State. The state at that time was still not an Islamist one, though it had an inclination towards the Islamists over the communist group. In fact, it is this Islamist group that eventually assassinated the President, and that was in 1981. So that conflict is Islamist vs the state. So, where is it documented that there were violent clashes between the Egyptian communists and Islamists? The Communist Party lost its political interest over time. The case of Iran was differnt. The communists, the Islamists, and a few more groups joined together to expel the Shah, as he was the common enemy. Once Khomeini got the power, he eliminated all rivals, not just the communists. So it was not just about eliminating communism, as the video said. This is why I mentioned the facts in the video are only half-truth. if you examine Indian politics, the BJP/RSS is doing what Islamists did in Iran. First, work on public sentiment, showcasing someone else as an enemy and asking small groups to join them. After they are done, they will suppress/eliminate the small groups. So the butchering title only fits them in the context of India.
