The government lacks the courage to depart from Conservative policies and establish agreements with EEA countries. If not as a member of the European Union, then as a member of EFTA... The government fears the return of free movement within the European Union. Hence, it keeps its borders closed to Europeans, but instead faces a growing number of boats carrying illegal migrants who refuse to work, who do not identify with the UK or with Europe; they are a threat. The Labour government won the election 2024 based on public fatigue with weak Tory rule, but it has created even greater chaos and a lack of solutions to the United Kingdom's problems.
