🇺🇸🇮🇶 BREAKING | The United States has reportedly suspended all funding and security coordination with the Iraqi government and has halted dollar shipments to Iraq's central banking system, according to Saudi channel Al-Hadath. Washington says the suspension will remain in effect until a new Iraqi government is formed and Baghdad provides information on pro-Iranian militia members who have attacked U.S. targets in Iraq. Iraq's economy is 90% dependent on oil revenue paid in dollars into a Federal Reserve account in New York. Every month, Baghdad flies in $1-2 billion in cash from that account to pay salaries and conduct government functions. Cutting dollar access means the Iraqi government cannot operate—salaries go unpaid, the dinar collapses, and the state grinds to a halt. Iraq is currently forming a new government after November 2025 elections. The U.S. threatened in January to suspend engagement if any of 58 pro-Iranian MPs were included in the cabinet. Now Trump is enforcing that ultimatum while Iraq remains paralyzed between Washington and Tehran. Washington invaded Iraq, destroyed its economy, controls its oil revenue through the New York Fed, and is now starving the government until it picks a cabinet the White House approves.

As far as I can tell, Reuters is the only source for this reported three-way deal between Pakistan, KSA and Sudan with all of the sourcing coming from Pakistan exclusively. Both KSA and Sudanese sources maintain that the entire deal is made up. 🤷‍♂️ reuters.com/world/middle-e…

Mind boggling . Needs to be investigated

After it was revealed that Rs1,000 billion have been parked into commercial banks by public entities, it has now been discovered that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) paid out Rs1.191 billion to its then chairman, commissioners, executive directors, directors and many others for salary, perks, privileges, others benefits such as gratuity, trust and pension with retrospective effect. All these benefits were drawn in the last 16 months with retrospective effect with the approval of the Board of SECP. The impact of SECP payments paid out in 16 months from July 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024 with retrospective effect stood at Rs1.191 billion. This controversy was triggered when Senator Anusha Rahman, belonging to the ruling PMLN, pointed out that the public entities had parked Rs2,000 billion into the accounts of commercial banks instead of depositing it in the Federal Consolidated Fund (FCF) or Treasury Single Account in a clear-cut violation of the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act 2019. According to official data, the then chairman and three members of SECP drew Rs65.559 million, nine executive directors Rs68.787 million, 16 directors Rs87.046 million, 33 directors Rs135.123 million, 32 joint directors Rs56.391 million, 58 additional joint directors Rs68.541 million, 42 deputy directors Rs25.142 million, 55 assistant directors Rs18.296 million, three management executives Rs398,481, 140 staff/non-management Rs53.839 million. Both sides always do posturing before the negotiations. Obviously blockade is an issue and should be resolved before the second round start. But hopefully both Iranians and US delegations will attend the second round in Islamabad mediated by Pakistan.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf sharply criticized opponents of a potential agreement with the United States in a meeting with advisers, Iran International has learned. Ghalibaf, who also led Iran’s team in the latest negotiating with Washington, described figures including Saeed Jalili, a member of Iran’s National Security Council, and hardline Iranian MP Amirhossein Sabeti as extremist militia-like actors who would destroy Iran. He said the camp was using state television and mobilizing hardline supporters to intensify opposition to negotiations and a possible deal with the United States. Ghalibaf also voiced concern about being removed from the speakership and about Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi being pushed out of office. iranintl.com/en/202604200812

Along the Karakoram Highway in northern Pakistan lies one of the world’s most overlooked archaeological wonders. Thousands of ancient rock carvings etched into the mountains over millennia. Discovered in stages starting in 1884, these petroglyphs were fully revealed during the construction of the highway in 1978, prompting a German-Pakistani research effort led by scholars like Karl Jettmar and Ahmed Hassan Dani. Since then, researchers have uncovered carvings and inscriptions in multiple ancient languages, including Brahmi, Sogdian, Tibetan, and even Hebrew. Some inscriptions carry haunting messages, like “Always remember, you must die,” offering a glimpse into the philosophical depth of these forgotten cultures. The carvings span over 10,000 years of history, starting from the late Stone Age and evolving through the Bronze Age, Persian imperial expansions, and finally the golden age of Buddhism between the 5th and 8th centuries. Among the carvings are faceless giants, mythical beasts, warriors in Persian dress, and massive depictions of the Buddha and stupas that resemble machines more than temples, evoking imagery from Hinduism. These rock faces provide us a time capsule of belief systems, cultural shifts, and ancient human imagination carved into the bones of the Earth.
