We are seeing a lot of fires on board US Navy ships. Besides, USS Ford, we have also seen fires on Eisenhower, New Orleans and Zumwalt. Now reports that Higgins has a main space fire that knocked out propulsion and power. The fire on Bonhomme Richard in 2020 led to the scrapping of that ship. Fire is an ever present danger on ships, but the Navy needs to examine if there is an uptick in these events.

Since Pluto hangs out in the crowded Kuiper Belt, it got reclassified as a dwarf planet. Millions of people — and more than a few scientists — have been annoyed about it ever since. What makes this different is that Isaacman isn't just venting. He says NASA is actively writing scientific papers to formally challenge the classification and push the debate back through the scientific community.
