Wind turbines do kill birds, but the numbers are often taken out of context. In the U.S., turbines kill hundreds of thousands of birds a year. Oil and fossil fuels kill hundreds of thousands to millions every year through pollution, habitat damage and waste pits, climate change, not even counting major spills. Per unit of energy, fossil fuels kill far more birds than wind ever does.
