Nah, allowing a rulebook to override basic logic and common sense is terrible design. I don’t need to read any rulebook to know this decision is bullshit. As a big Acosta fan who doesn’t blame him at all, it’s still absurd they let KTM put another of their unreliable bikes back on the grid after two electrical/mechanical issues caused the red flag and Marquez’s crash. I would understand more if they made him start at the back of the field. But back at pole? Crazy. Furthermore, this particular “rule” needs to be addressed immediately so no other manufacturer can pull the same shit in the future. Safety should actually mean something instead of just being a talking point while money talks louder. Complete joke.
