My wife was sexually harassed by her boss last month
She was brave enough to report him and went to court
Everything seemed fine until I noticed a problem
Her boss is a person of color, a man from Nigeria
And the jury was entirely white
I had no choice but to raise an objection
"This trial cannot proceed" I said
"A white jury cannot fairly judge a man of color"
The trial has been postponed 5 months pending a diversity review of the jury pool
"You betrayed me" my wife said
"No honey, I protected a man from institutional racism"
This is why the rest of the world looks up to Europe
We protect everyone

Power has been restored to some customers, and we expect most customers to see their power return tonight. Crews must visually inspect the lines for damage before any necessary repairs can be made, and power restored.
Conducting inspections and making repairs prior to re-energization is critical to protect public safety and preventing wildfires.
If your power is out, an estimated restoration time for your address is available in the outage map at xcelener.gy/4sLlr9D

@XcelEnergyCO “Low humidity and dry conditions” as it’s literally raining

Thank you for reaching out to Xcel Energy. I understand you have questions about the Public Safety Power Shutoff in your area and restoration times.
Hundreds of crew members and contractors are positioned in Colorado, ready to begin restoring power to customers once weather conditions improve later today. With critical wildfire risks created by high winds, low humidity and dry conditions in Colorado today, a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) affecting about 50,000 customers along the Front Range began this morning to reduce wildfire risk and help protect public safety. The extreme weather is also causing other outages and damage to the electric system.
Weather conditions necessitating the PSPS are expected to begin to improve around 6 p.m. It may take several hours to a few days to restore power to all customers because crews must patrol each line to repair damage and make sure it’s safe to re-energize.
High winds and low relative humidity that may create wildfire risk and cause outages are expected again on Friday. Due to changes in weather forecasts, we are notifying customers of the potential need for a second PSPS event impacting Boulder, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer and Weld counties on Friday, Dec. 19, beginning as early as 5 a.m. Friday’s storm may overlap with some communities impacted by today's severe weather, which could mean certain areas may be without power for more than three days.
Thank you for your patience as we work to keep communities safe.

We have implemented a Public Safety Power Shutoff impacting about 50,000 customers in Boulder, Clear Creek, Jefferson, Larimer and Weld counties. Weather conditions are expected to improve starting around 6 p.m.
Customers impacted by today’s PSPS can charge their devices at Community Resource Centers. More information on locations and up-to-date event information is available at co.my.xcelenergy.com/s/outage-safet….
Hundreds of Xcel Energy crew members and contractors are positioned along the Front Range, ready to restore power due to the PSPS as well as any other outages caused by high winds. Crews must inspect power lines and equipment and repair damage before it can be safely re-energized.
As crews begin restoring power to those affected by today’s severe weather and PSPS event, please remember to give them the space they need to do their job safely and efficiently. You can help Xcel Energy get a jump on power restoration by reporting outages and any damage to power lines that you see.
Severe weather that may create wildfire risk and cause outages is expected again on Friday. We are evaluating the potential need for a second PSPS event impacting mountain communities and the Front Range on Friday, Dec. 19, beginning as early as 5 a.m. Friday’s storm may overlap with some communities impacted by today's severe weather, which could mean that certain areas could be without power for more than three days.
