Interventional radiologists going in with scopes for heart interventions and stents in the carotid artery (for strokes going to the brain) normally rarely put in more than one stent, yet they were documenting multiple locations all at once. Heart attack cases needed massive amounts of stents they never needed before. There were people in their 20s who had been hiking, totally healthy, running marathons, who suddenly needed a leg amputated because they had a massive blood clot going from their hip all the way down to their leg and it couldn’t be saved. There were also cases of overnight spinal gangrene she’d never seen before. "You can’t amputate the spine when it goes gangrenous; normally they cut out dying tissue to prevent further infection, but they didn’t know what to do. The only thing they could do was basically replace that part of the spine with an implant—that was the best they could do. It was really intense." She admitted she didn’t question the vaccines as much as she should have at first—she had started questioning the flu shot way back in 2004—but with the pressure to get the COVID-19 shot, she started looking into what it could do. She knew she didn’t want anything to do with this experimental mRNA thing. When she looked at the experts, the vaccine trials, and what was happening to those patients—the Guillain-Barré, the strokes—she kind of knew to look for that when the vaccine came out.
