This is 700yr old Kongo Mosque, in south coast, built in 13th century, mostly curved out of a rock, probably the oldest surviving building in present Kenya, it precedes fort Jesus & gede ruins by 300 yrs. Now sharp boys have come with a title deed, saying its built on their land

The KALRO Horticulture Research Centre Matuga Open Week kicked off successfully.
The event brought together farmers, agripreneurs, and key stakeholders for a day of learning, interaction, and knowledge exchange on modern agricultural innovations.
The event was graced by KALRO HRI Institute Director, Dr. Njuguna Kori, and hosted by the Matuga Centre Director, Dr. Christine Kasichana.
Attendees explored a wide range of technologies and enterprises, including:
* Citrus varieties and their best management practices
* Mango varieties with key production insights
* Hybrid coconut and yellow passion fruit farming
* Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) such as turmeric and ginger
* Organic fertilizer application techniques for improved soil health
* Moringa and simsim farming opportunities
* Chisel ploughing for effective soil preparation
* Other crops like waterleaf and new agribusiness opportunities
The day featured engaging sessions and practical demonstrations aimed at equipping participants with practical skills to enhance productivity and promote sustainable agriculture.
