@catch237 @pagep195 Did the same for Nirvana when they supported Sonic Youth. I got to see The Go-Betweens but a pub crawl from Kehoes to the RDS means I retained fairly fractured memories, even the next day, let alone 34 years later..

Saw a relatively unknown R.E.M. support U2 in 1985 at Croke Park. Fair to say they got a lukewarm response at best. Went out & bought this album the next day. 10 years later they headlined Slane in front of 70,000 fans. Supported by Oasis.
