@PMal_Comics My favorite RPG is Invisible Sun, which has a level up system based on joy and dispair; you need both for progression. At the end of each session you and the DM have a conversation of whether the PC should get joy or dispair, and that lends itself well to character development.

Which ttrpgs allow for more character development? It breaks my heart to see people carefully planning their CoC characters for them to be killed in the first session.
