[Can You Earn Over 3 million Good Deeds?]
The Prophet—may Allah honour and save him—said:
“Anyone who recites a letter from the Qur'an will receive one good deed for it. And each good deed is rewarded with ten like it. I am not saying that alif lam mim is one letter. Rather, alif is a letter, lam is a letter and mim is a letter.” [1]
There are over 300,000 letters in the Qur'an (Mujahid—may Allah show him abundant mercy—puts the number at exactly 321,180 letters [2]; Sheikh Zayd bin Muhammad al-Madkhali—may Allah illuminate his grave—put it at exactly 323,681 letters [3])
This means that if you recite the Qur'an in its entirety just once this Ramadan, you can earn yourself—at least—almost three and a quarter million good deeds! One could say “do the math” but it has already been done for you.
So, what are you waiting for?
﴿فاستبقوا الخيرات﴾
[Al-Baqarah 2: 148]
“So hasten towards all that is good.” [4]

Patience Under Pressure: A Believer's Response to Trials
The concluding comments of Shaykh Mustafa Mabram حفظه الله of the poem of Shaykh Ahmed Al Najmi رحمه الله that mentions 26 virtuous Islamic manners and character traits that a believer must uphold. It emphasises that true character is tested during times of hardship, when trials strike and emotions run high. When tribulations occur, patience is required and these manners must be held onto firmly, for it is in moments of difficulty that people often lose composure. Holding onto noble character during trials is a sign of strong iman and sincerity.

A truly remarkable poem authored by the noble scholar Shaykh Aḥmad al-Najmī (رحمه الله), outlining twenty-six virtuous manners and etiquettes that are incumbent upon students of knowledge. One of the Shaykh’s students, Shaykh Muṣṭafā Mabram (حفظه الله), delivered a deeply moving explanation of this poem— which he personally read to the author himself (رحمه الله).

May Allah reward Shaykh Ḥassan al-Ṣomālī (حفظه الله) with much good for translating this poem and directing the people to it.

Not Everyone Is Suitable for Every Place
Islam teaches wisdom in placement. Not every person is meant for every role—some are suitable for companionship, others for sitting with, and some only from a distance. Guidance lies in knowing where people belong and protecting your heart and deen.

Learn to Act, Not to Neglect
Knowledge is not meant to sit on the tongue or the mind.
It is meant to move the limbs and correct the heart.
What you know should bring you closer to obedience—or it becomes a proof against you.
