Pure Armagh GAA fan. Likes to have banter, especially the comedy of Northern Ireland politics. Don't take life too seriously, we are only here for a short time

@SuzyJourno I'm sure the students at UU or Queens would be more concerned with getting their education.
Most people now couldn't give a stuff about this tribal crap! It's 2026 not 1976! This statement is 50 years too late. Most are concerned about jobs , housing & health care.

Jamie Bryson is calling on unionist students at QUB & UU to “join the culture war against nationalism” & robustly promote their politics on campus. He’s urged them to attend lectures wearing Orange Order t-shirts & parade around the universities in sashes.

@Victor_Coates82 As it always is with soccer fans all over the world there is a small few from every club out to cause trouble. That's seems to be part of the game & it's disgusting.

@Victor_Coates82 Your video doesn't support your claims. What your clip shows is people walking on a footpath.
I'm not saying there wasn't disorder but this clip shows nothing.

@KellyMatshall Once he has passed, only then will the truth come out. There are files stored somewhere in America & when they are released it will confirm what everyone knows + a lot more.

All those who are standing up for Gerry Adams and his denial of being in the IRA need to think practically , if he is really just a Republican that wanted a united Ireland and equality for all and never committed any crimes how come the same people accusing him of being a role player are not accusing John Hume of IRA membership ? John Hume equally wanted a united Ireland where all its citizens are treated with equality but yet his name has never been linked to crimes !

I have just watched the true life drama on C4 #c4dirtybusiness
Below is what I found doing a quick search.
That got me thinking about our waterways. Let's put it this way I won't be visiting any beach here again. The amount of sewage that's purposely pumped into our waterways is scary. Especially given we are a very small Country.

Northern Ireland faces a severe water pollution crisis with over 20 million tonnes of untreated sewage and wastewater discharged into waterways annually from 2,444+ storm overflow pipes. Driven by decades of underfunded, outdated infrastructure and heavy rainfall, these spills affect rivers and Lough Neagh. The situation has led to "serious degradation" of areas like Belfast Lough and prompted investigations.

Key Aspects of the Sewage Situation
Scale of Pollution: More than 20 million tonnes of untreated sewage are discharged into Northern Ireland's waterways annually.
Frequency: Untreated waste, containing sewage and industrial effluent, is released through storm overflows over 24,500 times per year.
Infrastructure Issues: Over 80% of storm overflows in Belfast are considered unsatisfactory. The system cannot handle heavy rainfall, resulting in overflow.
Environmental Impact: These discharges contribute to significant environmental degradation, including the severe blue-green algae blooms in Lough Neagh.
Regulatory Investigation: The Office for Environmental Protection (OEP) is investigating Stormont departments and the Utility Regulator regarding the high number of spills and "decades of neglect".
Funding Shortfall: Northern Ireland Water has indicated that these spills will continue without significant investment in the infrastructure.
BBC +5
Impact on Specific Areas
Lough Neagh: Receives an estimated 200,000 tonnes of untreated sewage annually, exacerbating, along with other factors, the growth of toxic blue-green algae.
Belfast Lough: Under investigation for "serious degradation".
Rivers and Beaches: Regular pollution incidents occur across the region.
BBC +2
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is responsible for monitoring, and they are updating how discharge consents are managed, which may lead to more stringent conditions in the future.

@KellyMatshall Don't forget, the country they left to come here as they feared persecution from Shaira Law!
Yet most won't open their eyes to the Invasion that's been ramping up over the last number of years.

Disgusting this is. What a slap in the face of everyone of us. Even the dog on the street can see they are taking the piss. They will try and hide behind it's an independent review body. What about the nurses who have to strike to get what the pay review body recommends. Same for Teachers & Doctors. The PSNI can't afford to recruit the numbers that they need for a solid police force. School buildings are crumbling around kids, rooftops leaking this shouldn't be happening in 2026! Most of the roads here you would think Putin was dropping bombs here & not Ukraine!!!

Here it goes SF makes a silly decision within BCC. They are sitting back thinking they have scored a home run.
They have no heat on them as it's all aimed at the GAA. Watch what happens now to GAA clubs across the country. This place is definitely backwards & I hope this PR stunt gets a Kier Stammer special U Turn!

Club Statement - Following tonight’s match in Porto, we’ve received multiple reports from supporters and staff about issues in and around the stadium.
That’s not what anyone who travelled to support Rangers should have had to deal with, and we share the concern, anger and frustration felt by those affected.
We will be gathering complaints and feedback and will pursue this with the relevant parties.
