I’ve been so unhappy with my personal art lately. Everything I try to do for myself I just dislike, or am disappointed in. It’s so discouraging

Existing is such a burden

I really don’t know how to keep dealing with everything life is throwing at me

Whenever I draw art truly for myself and put any effort into finishing it it just makes me feel like I've wasted my time, and it makes me feel guilty. I'm burning out on just drawing what I think will do well. I want to draw for me, but that's not what people want.

It's easy enough to say 'well interactions don't matter' but when it's my job, unfortunately they DO matter because I have to keep my account in people's algorithms, otherwise I won't get commissions. It's vicious and it's terrible.

It really, really sucks that the art that I want to draw just isn't the art that people want to see. I feel bad complaining about it, but honestly it feels like I can't draw what I want at all without feeling guilty about it.

It's like drawing for other people is so easy and I am so happy with what I can do but drawing for myself lately has been just such a massive hurdle and I wish it wasn't cuz I so badly want to draw for myself. it just really sucks

Kinda just hate the art that I do for myself right now honestly. Can draw for comms but then i try and work on anything for myself and I think it's terrible. I look at all the art of done of my characters and it just makes me sad. I don't understand why
