🚨🚨 A very timely scholarly article of mine co-authored with @KocEngin16 : 🇰🇼🇹🇷 "Bound by barriers: demystifying the constraints on an elevated #Kuwait- #Türkiye co-operation in the #defence realm". 📚 Journal: (Q2)- #Defense and #Security Analysis 🔓 Open Access Funding: @QNLib We argue that a primary constraint on elevated defense and security ties between Kuwait and #Ankara is the influence of the #US and Kuwait's sheltering strategy. In light of Israel's aggression against #Qatar yesterday and the involvement of the #Washington, it is prudent to suggest that Kuwait should reconsider its policies or at least prepare for a potential scenario in which the US prioritize its own interests over the security needs of the #Kuwaitis.
