@justmercy__ I get this completely. Sometimes it’s not even about the person, it’s the situation. When things become one-sided, it can slowly drain the feelings you once had. You did what you could, but you also had to choose yourself.

This phase is actually very real. I was in a relationship with a guy I met at work. Even before he asked me out, I already had a crush on him, so when he finally did, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. In the beginning, everything was smooth…we were both really into each other, and we spent a lot of time together, going almost everywhere side by side. About six months into the relationship, things started to change. He began having financial issues and was constantly telling me about one problem or another. At some point, I reached my limit and decided to end the relationship.

I’m supposed to take this to my grave but..😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 during my relationship with this girl, one time she called me and said she feels like doing something adventurous so we should go on a cake date. I asked myself what’s adventurous about going on a cake date but I was like okayy cool no yawa. So by close of work, she came to pick me up from the office and we headed straight to the bakery. Before we got there she said “Santo just play along” I was like what are you talking about and she said, “Santorini just play along”. I kept my cool and followed her. When we got to the counter, she told the lady we are about to get married and we would like to order a wedding cake but first, we would like to try their flavors... my jaw just dropped😂😂 I was about to deny it and she gave me some eye eerrhh😂. Luckily, the lady didn’t notice, so we sat down and were served various cakes in different flavors. After tasting them, my girlfriend showered the baker with praise, telling her it was the best cake she had ever eaten. She even told the baker that we would return with our own custom design. The baker was thrilled because my partner told her our budget for the cake was N900k. That was how we managed to have a "cake date" without paying a cent. The cake was actually quite good; however, a week after that date, she began acting strange. She rarely answered my calls and was very slow to reply to my messages. Whenever I asked to see her, she offered flimsy excuses. I was deeply hurt, and every time I complained, she just came up with more excuses. One day, while I was walking through town, I spotted the baker. I tried to hide, but she saw me and approached. @Cr7Godbrand Well, being a man, if a woman comes to my home to stay for some time, and for any reason if she had to clean my house, do my laundry and all.. then I will see it as my own failure.. So basically I am not telling a man, I am telling a manchild tbh..

The first day she ever slept over at my place, I left for work and she stayed behind. When I came home, she was in the kitchen cooking. I walked into my room and everything was spotless. She had cleaned the house, done my laundry, and then served me a plate of food. I remember thinking to myself, women like this still exist? She’s beautiful, successful, and well put together, so it surprised me even more that she still carried that traditional femininity and warmth. Six months later, I proposed to her. We’ve been married for five years now, and nothing has changed. She still cooks, keeps the home peaceful, and never brings unnecessary stress into my life. She lets me relax, play my video games, and watch sports. She even started watching soccer with me and reminds me when my games are on. Peace in a man’s life is priceless. I wish every man out there a safe journey in finding a woman like her. I know I did. And I’m never leaving my wife. She’s South American.
